  1. no i don't think so

               Jonas Brothers are AwEsOmE

  2. I talked about with YunFeng and didn't get anything information about some big earthquake in Los angles. Please don't worry about it.

    This is my blog!

  3. While I hardly doubt the the Jonas Brothers have anything to do with earthquakes or their prevention....

There is usually aftershocks for about 7 days after an earthquake.  They are usually smaller than the Mainshock, but they can be larger.

Here is a list of all the ones that have happened since the one yesterday.

  4. Scientists warn that with such a quake now almost statistically guaranteed, residents and state officials must focus on earthquake preparedness. Aside from stressing the importance of individual preparedness with things like earthquake kits and customized emergency supplies, special importance is being placed on building construction and ways to reduce the billions of dollars in damage that will inevitably result. More frightening is the fact that while a 6.7 has a 99.7% likelihood of occurrence, a 7.5 or greater has a 46% chance of striking in the next 30 years (WGCEP 2007 Report). These numbers are alarming. More importantly, they’re a warning. Now is the time to prepare.

  5. We can't prove that, but I think I heard "the big one" has a 99% chance of accourring in the next decade, which could be a 6.7 on the Richter scale or higher.

However we have no way to actually predict a earthquake until it starts really, otherwise Los Angeles would have been aware of it before it happened. I don't know if there could be Aftershocks four days after, I really don't know much about earthquakes, I haven't had a chance to do research yet.

My point however is, whatever you heard is nonsense, we can't predict earthquakes.

  6. well theres a chance that we will get an after shock which theres no proof or anything but some earthquakes lead to after shocks and not all the time are they bigger most times there actually smaller earthquakes

i wasnt there sadly i live in los angeles but i was out of town gurr!!! i know weird lol but i find them fun cause the last one i had with a friend so it was tightt

  7. i read a really scary statistic sort of thing a few days ago that said that the chance of california avoiding a massive earthquake in the next 5 years is less likely then flipping a coin and having it be heads every time

So it's time to start preparing

    Better safe than sorry

Usually big earth quakes follow smaller ones that occur a few hours or days before so the one yesterday may have been a warning.

We have a tin trash can by the side of our house full of bottled water, canned food, clothing, blankets, flashlights, batteries, radio, dog food. All that stuff

but think about it this way. The san andreas fault has been building up pressure for 250 years. That's gonna be pretty devastating when that pressure is relieved. I'm thinking in a worst case scenario right now

I'd rather be super paranoid of having an earthquake come but have the supplies to get through it as safely as i can then be in denial about the inevitable.

Even if we don't get more earthquakes in the next 5 days i'd still be preparing

if that makes any sense at all

    EDIT:

it would also be smart to learn how to turn off the gas to your house. My mom taught me how to a few months ago

And talk to your family about an agreed meeting place if the worst were to happen and you were separated

Take as much control out of the situation as you can get
