Question about the PS3? ?

My friends always ask me why my PS3 makes a loud noise coming from the fan. I was wondering why mine does it and his doesn't. My house is 5 degrees cooler than his house (65-67). His house is way hotter. I don't know why my PS3 is the one that makes noise.

something is probably stuck in the fan that's why its probably making  the noise

if you play the ps3 everyday and your friend doesnt then that is why i play mine everyday so i do hear my 2nd notch on the fan kick in after 10 min of play and then the 3rd notch will kick in maybe after 15 min or 20 min of play ocasionally i will hear a really loud noise when i play it for a long time and it will stay really loud for about 5 min then go back to the 2nd notch after that yeah i know its weird but what can u do it still works so its all good

making the ouse cooler will help the fan cool down a little bit. but the reason why it might be making loud noises is because it isn't being properly ventalated. i would keep his ps3 as far away from the wall is possible so it has some room to breathe. also when you run it for a long time it will start making loud noises.
