  1. I think you might be surprised at how warm and approachable the old girl is.

If you're serious about this, make an effort to find out exactly how to address the letter and HRH herself. There are ways and ways of doing it, and if you s***w that up you won't get past the first hurdle.

It is unlikely (though not impossible) that your friend would get an answer from Liz herself, but it's quite possible that it will strike the right note in one of the secretaries.

It would be great if this got a result. But you have to know this is a s**+tty ol' world most days and your chances aren't too good.

Nevertheless, I must say it's really very nice indeed of you for even trying it.

Your friend is lucky to have you on side.

    Have a star. Just because.

  2. She wouldnt personally reply, but someone on her behalf would, it would still be from Buckingham Palace!!!

  3. Her Majesty very rarely answers to any mails personally.

However, if you write to Her Majesty's office, explaining the situation and telling just how much it would mean for your disabled friend to get a letter from Buckingham palace, I'm sure they'd be more then cooperative.

So my advice is: write to the Queen's office, explain the situation, provide contacting details of your friend, and after some time you may well hear some thrilling news.

Here is the address to write to Her Majesty's office:

    The Private Secretary's Office

    Buckingham Palace

    London

    SW1A 1AA

    England, United Kingdom

GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR FRIEND!!!

  4. I doubt the Queen would write personally but you could try to get one from someone slightly less official...like whoever handles post to the Queen.

  5. someone from her office would. The queen would not reply personally

  6. You would get a reply I think, but it's never the actual queen who writes them, she doesn't even read the letter, it's just someone who works for her. Sorry.

  7. The Queen of England may be contacted through Her Royal Majesty's Private Secretary's Office at the following address:

    The Private Secretary's Office

    Buckingham Palace

    London SW1A 1AA

    England

    United Kingdom

First, go to http://royal.gov.uk/output/page4982.asp   Then, click on the "How Do I" link and finally access the link for the "Private Secretary's Office".  According to the above link, ladies-in-waiting and equerries answer the Queen's private correspondence.

    P. S. Please note that your friend won't be able to receive a personal reply (no doubt written by a lady-in-waiting or an equerry) by means of e-mail.

  8. I would think that even if the reply did not come via the Queen personally that to have something from Buckingham Palace would give him a boost I think though it may be that you wouldn't get a reply as it's not going to him direct but thru you ..............

but I hope I would be wrong

there is only one way to find out so with your best hand writing go on and do it ....................

  9. We posted a letter to the queen when i was in primary school, what you would get is a reply from the lady in waiting [not a standard or non-personalised reply] however if you do send a letter explaining the circumstances and in your very very best english, then you could get a reply, however the queen only signs letters for when people turn 100

  10. I am sure that Lizzie has a whole office full of secretaries that you be looking after such mail as you are wanting to send.  Why not try it, what have you got to lose.  It may take a while but I would be willing to bet that you would get at the very least an acknowledgement of your letter. good luck with it.

  11. I doubt very much that she would reply personally, but one of her secretaries would. But then again you never know...? And the letter will be on letter headed paper, your friend would probably like tht very much.

  12. only one way to find out write and see

  13. Her staff will pass on some of the more interesting letters to her,but they are the ones who usually answer her correspondence. Here is the address:

You can write to Her Majesty at the following address:

    Her Majesty The Queen

    Buckingham Palace

    London SW1A 1AA

You can e-mail The Queen through this link:
