Would it be possible for the queen to be de promoted as queen? I wish it was, the royal family are corrupt. What do you think

The queen has no real constitional power anyway, it all lies with parliament, she is just a figurehead.

There should be a vote, to see if we , the public, need them or even want them. Someone wrote it only cost a small amount  from every person to pay for them swanning around the globe Just think , what the medical researchers of the world could do with that. They are parasites.

At least with prime ministers, presidents etc., they can be voted out of office if they are not doing the job properly. With the royalty we`ve got them for ever, worse luck..

Not likely since the Queen is doing a fine job.It would take an act of treason to get a monarch removed from office.This monarch is quite serious about performing her duties correctly.

The modern Royals are selfish and akin to leaches. It makes me sick to see Harry and Wills getting on so well while others with more qualification are left on the scrapheap. Harry is the biggest  leach getting a handsome pay out for a few weeks out in the field.

It is about time we put the Saxon line back on the throne, but this can only be achieved through parliament. So please write to your local MP...

demoted is the word you were looking for. No, Kings or Queens can be Usurped and Dethroned but it would take a civil uprising or an invasion to do so. Why do you think they are corrupt (well, more corrupt than anyone else)? I hope it's not all this ongoing (will it never go away) Diana, Princess of Media Whores, nonsense.

I don't think so, but they can be Usurped and definitely dethroned from their positions, but of course this would mean almost everyone in the United Kindom would have to come up with a very good reason as to why they should.

Nothing wrong with the royal family. they are one of the last good things this country has. I don't understand what the problem is with them? what have they ever done to you? they are good for this country. grow up.

No, she can abdicate.  She is the guardian of the peoples constitution, as she takes an oath at her coronation to uphold the British Costitution for and of the United Kingdom, etc,etc.  She can refuse to ratify any law passed by government, but we know she has commited treason five time by signing away our countries rights to another country 'the EU' so she has taken our country into Repression, Poverty and War, also Dictatorship and laws of a police state, as stated on another post, the only way forward is revolution.

The Queen can be forced to "abdicate" by pressure from the British Parliament, however, there must be a legitimate reason for this to happen. For example, corruption,

interference with politics, committing a serious crime. When and if the Queen and her royal family have breached their "limited power of use" and regulations stated by laws set by the Parliament, the government have the authority to take serious matters into their own hands.

Note: The current British Prime Minister has already been introducing more "reforms" and "withdrawing traditions and customs rights" from the Queen and her royal family. There is a possible chance that the British monarchy will soon be extincted.
