1. i took the ACT my junior year. that's typical with both tests. and there's no passing or failing. there's just good and not so good scores!

i never took the SAT because i was going to school in state so it wasn't necessary.

order doesn't matter between SAT and ACT.

  2. PSAT should be your sophomore year...and the other 2 if you take both should be junior year (earlier the better so you can retake 'em if you want/need to)...and ACT you should shoot for at least 28, and I dunno on the SAT cuz i took it when it was out of 1600 and now its different.

  3. PSAT as a sophomore, you will sign up for it through school.

ACT and SAT as a junior, you can sign up for them online or your school may offer them.

There are no "passing grades", it just gives you a score that colleges use to compare candidates.

For the PSAT, if you score high enough you can get a National Merit Scholarship. Usually you have to score around a 220/240, but that varies by state (if you live in Alabama, then you only have to get like a 202).

For the other tests, what is considered a "good" score really depends on what college you want to get into. Most colleges publish the average ACT and SATs of their students on the website, so you can look around for that.

    Good luck on your tests

  4. Take the PLAN test sophomore, it's preparation for the ACT.

Take the PSAT junior year, you can only become a National Merit Scholar as an 11th grader. Perhaps take it as a sophomore just to get the feel for it.

Take the ACT and SAT junior year, that's traditionally the year most take it. You will also have probably taken the proper amount of math and science to understand most of what's on it.

Definitely do prep for the ACT and SAT, just by the way.

    :)

  5. You'll more than likely take your PSAT in your freshman and sophomore years in high school. Based on those scores you should consider whether you want to take a class before you take your actual SAT. I'd recommend taking the SAT twice in your junior year and once in your senior year (depends on your score of course, because if you do really well on your first test then there is really no point)

There really is no passing grade on the SAT's. It's based on a scale of 2400 now and so anything in the 1900-2400 range is a great score. The higher the better

  6. In high school I took my PSAT in 10th grade and SAT in 11th grade, but you can take them anytime, but colleges will look at your junior year for academics . ACT is optional, it is like SAT, but I've heard it's easier to handle!

  7. take PSAT sophomore year, SAT and/or ACT junior year.

    IMO good SAT score >1800

    Good ACT score >28
