Question about the Zoo?

Has anyone ever been the the Pittsburgh Zoo? i dont live close to it but we are going to pittsburgh on sat to see family and we were going to to the the pittsburgh zoo. are you aloud to take pictures? it is a nice place? clean? and can you bring food?

I used to live in Pittsburgh for 23 years.  The zoo is outstanding.  They have doe a wonderful job on upkeep.  You can for sure take pictures.  The aquarium is AWESOME.  The polar bears Penguins Elephants (plus 2 new baby elephants born 3 months ago) All is great.  A nice Saturday trip for sure.  In fact every time we visit Pittsburgh We take our kids to the zoo and the love it.
