Question about the amount of GB in the Ipod touch

I don't get it. Why does it have less GB than my ipod video but it does more than my ipod video?

I'm trying to decide if i want to upgrade my ipod video. Should I?

Due to the fact that the touch functionally and the fact that you can add app and gain access on the internet. If you have over 2000 songs on your ipod video then i would keep the video. Plus if you use the ipod just for music then just keep the video. I'm not getting a new iPod until i fill up my 30GB video and i wont get the touch until they realise a 64GB or a 128GB and when there lower the price, if they dont i just get a classic.
