I have a question in yugioh, is this possible, my oppents has several spell and trap cards in his field face down. Its my turn and I play heavy storm, now its states destroy all trap and spells on the field, one of face down is a jar of greed and he was explaining to me that traps cards are faster than spell can be activated before my spell card can destoryed it, is this legal. In other words when I activate it does my oppent as the last ditch effort to activate any spell cards before hand since certain cards are faster than others? I know that a magic jammer would stop a heavy storm but what about pot of greed, jar of greed, can my oppenent activate their cards first and by pass the spell of my heavy storm or similar cards that cleary states destroy all spell cards?

  1. If all 5 were traps or quick play spells, he could activate all 5. You can chain as many traps as possible but you have to watch for spell speeds. Heavy storm is spell speed 2. So are traps and quick plays. So you can chain as many. However you cannot chain a spell speed 2 to a spell speed 3 which are counter traps. So if you played a counter trap that destroyed all spell and traps, he couldn't activate them unless they are counter traps.

  2. yeah he can just as long as it's a trap or quick-play spell!! ^_^

i'm geting bord of yahoo cuzz i wanna give-out long awnsers............

  3. yes he can can chain any quick play spells and traps .... you have to remember chaining works backwards so you set heavy storm off and he chains a trap.. the trap goes off first.... although if its rolay decree that someone plays you can only chain one trap card to it

  4. Yes, he could chain his Pot of Greed. Although he couldnt chain other cards like Sakuretsu Armor. He could chain with Waboku. He cannot chain with Torrential Tribute. He can chain with Rare Metalmorph (if he had a matal monster, or whatever it is). He cannot chain Seven Tools of the Bandit...
