Question:

Question about the election. Hillary Clinton Supporters?

First off i would like to say that this is the first election that i have actively followed, so i'm not exactly sure what usually happens.

I turn 18 in a few weeks and am a registered voter and plan on voting in this upcoming election.

My question is: How come people who supported Hillary are making such a big deal about how Obama is the democratic nominee? I have heard people talk about the Clinton supporters who refuse to support Obama and are now voting McCain.

No offense to Clinton supporters, i thought she would have made a fine president, but she is no longer a possibility. Why are the supporters moving to McCain. Are they trying to make a point. Do they really dislike Obama that much?

Finally, are there groups of people every election whose candidate doesn't make the final cut and gets mad and moves to the other party or is that unique to this election. Is this whole "Clinton supporters to McCain" thing just being blown out of proportion by the media or is it really that big of a deal?

  1. I was a supporter of Hillary Clinton. I felt hurt that she wasn't the Democratic nominee. Those feelings have passed and I now support Obama. Hillary clinton supports him and that was enough for me. people should really reconsider if they are planning on voting for mccain. mccain has voted the same as bush 90%of the time...is this the change we need? vote for Obama!!

  2. For myself, I supported Clinton from the start.  I trusted her vision because of the success her husband had and the disappointment that the Republicans offered me in the last 8 years.  I don't support Obama because I don't see him following through with his rhetoric.  He looks and sounds to good to be true.  He's contradicted himself so many times already.  I don't want to have to vote McCain- but I believe he'll actually do what he says he wants to.

  3. Not all are that way.  The ones who are are just having temper tantrums and trying to "get back" at Obama and the Dem. Party.  It's extremely childish, and dangerous to our country and its citizens.

  4. The REAL protest vote is to  VOTE for

    NONE OF THE  ABOVE!

This Nov. Vote for the NOT a Democrat and NOT a Republican!

abandon the Donkey and the Elephant!

  5. I think it's like 30% or something like that of Hillary supporters say they will vote for McCain now. Its really childish because Hillary and McCain are almost polar opposites.

  6. I'm switching from Clinton to McCain because Obama doesn't care about middle class midwestern citizens.  Yeah, I'm still mad about the whole "gun-toting, Bible-clinging" comment.  Anyone who has the nerve to put down ANYONE based on where the live (the mid-west), their class (middle class), and ANYONE'S religion, no matter what it is, should not only be shunned in a Presidential election, he (or she) shouldn't even be a congressional member until they have lived a year in our shoes.

  7. Great question Jason.

First of all, I think the conflict between Obama and Clinton supporters were started in Camp McCain to weaken the Democratic base.

Now, I think the Media is blowing it out of proportion and making the conflict generator the benefactor.

Hilliary clearly stated, that she did not work that hard to give the election to John McCain.

Finally, Not every election people turn sour, I suppose it takes a really gracious person to be a gracious loser.

  8. The Good and Bad thing about being a member of a Party as diverse as the Democratic Party. We have minds of our Own. election after election some group of Democrats or the other runs to the other side for some perceived slight, because, let's face it no one can be all things to all people. The Problem is, that republicans Grin and Bear their grievances and Vote Republican any way. This is why they Win. Look at the most recent example of their solidarity in the VP Pick, You know that these Bright Republicans for the most part Hate that pick, but they will defend it til they believe in it themselves. I hate the Republican party but I admire the way they go down with the Ship.

  9. Obama was selected, not elected by the media and Pelosi,Dean!! He is not ready to be president.  McCain is a maverick and will put country before party.  He has my up most respect.  I do not respect Obama, or the way the DNC treated Hillary.  I will not reward their behavior with my vote!!!
