Question about the hills on MTV?

okay so i am a major fan of the hills on MTV. i heard a couple times that their shows are scripted. does anyone know if this is true. i dont care i still love the show i was just curious. thankks!

yes this show is scripted the cast gets paid per eppisode just like any tv show and people are cast in their roles. for example audrina was recently on chelsea lately and stated that she was approached by mtv producers and was offered the role of lauren conrads l.a friend

i like the hills and everything, but i agree, i think it's scripted too. MTV tries way too hard to try and make it look like it's all real and say that it's real too, but it's really obvious that it isn't.

Ya it is scripted. They say some parts of it are real, but you can really tell it's not.
