I just got a new VDR-D50, and when ever I record, there is this little bright, blue dot on the view finder and LCD screen...The operating inst. book says that that is normal due to limitations in LCD tech and that it is not a malfunction and won't affect my video. Well I uploaded the video to my computer and the little blue dot is in my video also.....Does this mean something is wrong with it?

  1. I'm not familiar with this camcorder, but I think it's got to be a fault.

  2. According to Panasonic's manuals, the bright dots in LCDs and view finders are normal. But if you say that this dots are in your recorded video too, check these options firs,

    1. Your lens (Wide lens, UV,...) are completely clean.

    2. The camcorder lens are clean.

    3. If you have ever touched the surface of the camcorder's lens and the black cover on the lens had been eased, try to erase small amount around it to blend the erased spot on the lens surface.

If it continued, call your dealer or service center.
