i have a report to do on the greek and/or roman drawing rooms in Versailles. i'm aware that there are mercury, apollo, mars, etc. drawing rooms but i don't know what drawing rooms are used for or any additional information.

i feel like i've looked everywhere (google, ask.com, etc.) and i'm beginning to get frustrated.

if anyone can give me info. and/or websites where i can find information about these specific rooms (Greek/Roman Drawing Rooms) i would appreciate it greatly!

I hope these will be enough for you.

  2. I have visited Versailles twice. I might be wrong, but I think drawing rooms were mainly used to hold visitors for royalty. Maybe sometimes they served as rooms where parties were held. They are small rooms in the royal apartments, and some are adjacent to the royal bedrooms. But then again, I could be wrong. I was never told the exact purpose for the rooms.

Also, look on the official Versailles website, I'm pretty sure they have information on them. Hope this helps!

  3. I was born in the versailles castle !
