Question about the palm centro?

i read that the phone wont turn off. just the phone and texting. if the phone and texting turn off will it save battery?

yeah i have the palm centro and yes it is press true so basically what happens with tihs phone is that you just like normally like press the read button and it says goodbye but then u can also just like press it again and it shows u the screen....like basically it is kind of turned off because u cant call unless u like dial the number and then it askes if u wanna turn it on it will ask u  but to answer ur question, yes it does save battery because it is basically just like a phone off because u cant receive calls or anything
