How legit is it?

And what type of high school credit does it count for?

And is the meeting even worth going to?

And if you have gone on one of the trips, was it worth it?

  1. The People to People Student Ambassador Program is one of my biggest clients.  They house their kids at my hotels when they stay in my area.

They are very legit, well established, and it is a great program - very educational, and totally worth it.  The kids get to see the DC area (and other areas as well), they hear speakers from all areas of the government, and the kids have the time of their lives.

And yes, you need to get your own passport.  They will tell you how to do so if you need help.  As to how much credit you will get for school... it may depend on your school.  You will need to ask your advisor or principal.

I went on a program quite similar to it when I was in high school and it was a fantastic experience.  Good luck, and have fun!

  2. I actually just came back from a people to people trip a few days ago. it was a lot of fun but hugely depends on the people you are surrounded by and the leaders that take you. My trip was twenty four days and we went to Germany, Austria, Italy, and Greece. If there were things I could change about it I would shorten the length of the trip. They definitely do a good job of keeping you busy and make sure its an educational experience. let me know if u have any questions

  3. Yes, you need your own passport and between $5,000 and $6,000 in fees.
