Question about the pill?

My doctor put me on the pill so I could have less painful periods. I've only been on them a month, but my last period was still painful. I had to get my boyfriend to buy me pads because I was in so much pain. It was actually quite funny because he was so confused about which ones to buy, lol.

I just want to know when will the pain ease, because I've had this pain since I was about 14 and I'm 22 now.

Because it takes a long time for your hormones to completely adjust, you'll want to give at least three months to notice a decrease in pain.  If it has not resolved by then, your doctor might try a different birth control pill.
