okay i'm about 20 pages in and i'm so so lost. whos edna earle? and is uncle danielmental in anyway? i'm so lost and i have to read this :( help me?

Edna Earle is the lady that narrarates the story, Daniel is her uncle, and she owns the hotel. I don't think Daniel is mental, he just can't help giving stuff away. I had to read the book too and the longer u read, it gets more confusing! Wasn't a fun read at all!!!! Good luck understanding it!
