Question:

Question about the weather in Switzerland in April?

I am planning a scenic trip to Switzerland in early April and I was wondering what the weather is like at that time of year. I am from Ireland and I am interested in seeing the glaciers, alps, doing a train route etc etc...and I am hoping to catch a bit of snow too (not too sure if there is skiing in April, I really hope there is!)

Thanks in advance for your answers!

  1. Around that time of year, Switzerland is a cool and can get even a bit colder. There is still some snow, but it still would be better if you went around February or March. If you plan on going somewhere lower than the mountains, there is a high chance of rain.

  2. The weather all around Europe has been tricky because of climate changes.  However, you can guestimate the weather to be approximately 60 degrees fahrenheit.

  3. You can ski in Switzerland throughout the year. It really depends where you go.

April in Switzerland is usually not very warm. Last April however, was extremely warm probably because of the global warming.

If you want to see sth very special go to Jungfraujoch. Check out these sites:
