Hi, a couple of weeks ago i ordered virgin media vip 85, which included 20mb broadband, but i cancelled my order, but they sent me a wireless router (because you get one free if you take 10 or 20 meg), but i still got one but i looked at the bottom of it and the WAN port is 10mbps, so does that mean if i had actually kept the 20meg broadband that i would only be getting 10mb if i used the router, but still be paying for 20mb?

Thanks

  3. Your details are a bit confusing. As I read it, I assume you were on a lower speed before and had a wireless router. You upgraded to 20 Mb and they sent you a new one but in the meantime you cancelled?

If so, the router sent and you cancelling have crossed in the "post". If the one your referring to as 10 Mbps is your old one then that would have been sufficient for your old speed.

As you upgraded to 20 Mb they had to send you a new one to accommodate 20 Mb. As you cancelled you will have to return the new one because it is their equipment and you may be charged for it. I suggest you phone 150 and ask them what they want you to do with it.
