Question about theft at a store?

I was shopping today in a store, when I was asked by the manager who was holding up a paper that had a picture of me which was taken by a survallence camera. I stole a dvd a couple months ago, and they were positive that it was me who did it. As we were walking to the security room, I told the store manager I had to leave because I was late for an appointment. The manager stated that " It was a private property and they can hold me until the police come". They said they wouldn't call the police, or call my parents as long as I signed a tress-passing agreement, and agreed to never go back. I showed them my I.D. to prove I was who I was signing as, and they let me go.

My question is...

Is there anyway they can prosecute me or take any actions?

  1. .   Only if you go back inside the store.

  2. No.  The photo does not prove you took anything from the store.  Even if the photo shows you concealing the CD, there is nothing to prove you did not later remove it an leave it in the store.

Do not go back into the store, as since you signed the agreement, you can be charged with "Trespass after warning"
