Question about these names?

My husband and I are trying for baby #2. We already have a 5 year old. His name is Jaden Zechariah. We have come up with some names for our next one.

For a girl we like the name Riley Elizabeth or Bailey Elizabeth. We haven't decided which we like better Riley or Bailey. My sister's middle name was Elizabeth and she passed away 2 years ago. So we are trying to incorporate that and we love the name Elizabeth anyway.

For a boy my husband loves the name Brock Landon. Landon is my dad's middle name. We love Landon also.

Here is my question--I can't see myself naming a baby Brock. I love the name Brock, but just not for a baby. I know he wouldn't be a baby long, but still...

Anybody got any suggestions as to a nickname for Brock, or any other suggestions? I am just not warming up to the idea of naming a baby Brock. :)

  1. "Peepants" is a good nickname.

  2. I like Riley Elizabeth for a girl. For a boy I agree with you, I like Landon a lot but don't care for Brock. What about Landon Brock?

  3. use riley elizabeth

that is my favorite name for a girl

and i agree with everyone else if you think Brock is harsh than try Landon Brock but i still think Brock is a very nice name

  4. I Love Riley Elizabeth and Bailey as well... and Landon is adorable as well  but i think i am in the same boat as you with brock...

Why don't you try Landon Brock instead of Brock Landon... you will still incorporate both names but it wouldn't be so harsh + when you do need to be stern with him he will know you mean business when you use his middle name

  5. Riley and Bailey are both beautiful. I think I like Riley a little more, but it's really a hard choice, so whatever you decide will be great.

As for the boys Im not a huge fan of the name Brock, but that's just my opinion. If you and your husband love it, then go for it. If you're not so sure about using it for a first name then perhaps you guys could name him Landon Brock. I love the name Landon.

    Congrats and good luck!

  6. How about Beck Landon?

  7. For the girls I think you should go for Riley Elizabeth. I've never been too keen on the meaning of Bailey.

For the boys: I've heard of Brock as a surename but not as a first name. What puts me off it is the fact that it is one syllable and sounds quite harsh to say. Why don't you use Landon Brock as I think this flows a lot better than Brock Landon. Also Landon doesn't sound harsh to say.

  8. Don't use Riley for a girl. Use Bailey.

I'd go with Landon as a first name, Brandon as a middle.
