Question about time travel. What do you think of this?

There's a blog about a "time travel experiment" which requires participation from A LOT of people. Here are the details:

actually, it would work. but how are the 6 billion people of the world (or at least 1 billion for this to be remembered into the future) going to stop that day and just wait. i'm all for this, i think it would be a cool day. basically a big tailgating party. i'll supply the beer for the first 100 people hahaha

It has potential. However, the person(s) time traveling from the future would have to be aware of that date so that they could travel back to it, so it would have to be REALLY big. But there's a definite possibility.
