  1. excellent question.

how "realistic" of a super power are you going for?

tissue regen can advance to slowed aging ( as previously stated ) as well as increased resilience to bacteria, disease, physical damage, etc. regenerative speed will increase ( if you cant kill him in 5 seconds he will fully heal so your attacks are useless ) the ability to see other peoples weakness ( hey! that guy is weak against punches to the face, or that guy has hepatitis, dont use a shotgun against him or you will risk infection )

if you want more extravagent powers then maybe the ability to chop off small chunks of skin which will then turn into mini people ( cut off a leg, it grows back in 10 seconds and the removed leg turns into a dwarf size person whome you have full control of in 30 seconds )

the ability to have your bone structure become harder, or grow enough to protrude from the skin like blades. skin as hard as steel ( the cells become so dense ) or the ability to slow the enemys healing.

maybe you have to get your blood on them and it is absorbed and acts like a degenerative disease ( aids ) or you could heal others with your blood ( probably dont want to use both of these abilitys )

read a bunch of comics and think heal, regenerate, degenerate, disease, sick, octopus ( or any other animal that can regenerate limbs ) earth worms, etc.

  2. The ability to regrow lost limbs (arms, feet, fingers, eyes, etc) like some lizards can do.  Flatworms can even grow new heads.

Several comic-book characters who have regenerative abilities also have reduced aging, as old cells are generated by new ones.

The character Carnifex from the Wild Card book series could regenerate tissue but it did not maintain his normal human asthetic look--every fight left him a little more scarred than before.
