what's difference between "automatic" and "manual" transmission?

automatics change your gears automaticly and manuals you have to shift youself by pressing in the cluch, change the gear, and re-engage the clutch. I think manuals are more fun to drive and it gives you more control over the car.

what jime said....but there is also something called paddle shift trannys or autoshift

which combine some of the fun of manuals but also have the convienience of autos

but manuals are alot more fun and get slightly better fuel economy
