  1. no dont do that u can use the london underground or the buses it would be cheapter to do that too

  2. London's a terrible city to drive in - it's expensive (not least as you'd have to pay the £8 congestion charge for each day: and petrol/gas is a lot more expensive in the UK than in the US - presuming that's where you're coming from ), and finding places to park is both difficult and expensive.

On the other hand, the public transport network is fairly good and fairly comprehensive, reasonably reliable and perfectly safe. I'd advise you to use that (or occasionnally use a taxi if you need to get somewhere in a hurry with lots of luggage) - it really is more convenient in most cases

  3. 1 - London Underground

    2 - London Buses

    3 - Taxis

I have several friends who have lived and worked in London for more than 10 years and in all that time never owned a car.

  4. Don't rent a car, it will be a waste of money.  Use public transport as it's fairly reliable and frequent.  Get yourself a travel card or Oyster card as it's cheaper than buying a ticket everyday.  On the other hand, you could   walk around as most places are withing walking distance of each other.

  5. No. That would be a waste. The tube (subway) is extensive. There are also many bus services. Failing that, there are thousands of taxis.
