  1. Is it possible?  Sure.  Cordoba, Malaga and Granada are all within an hour or two from Sevilla.  Madrid is at least five or six hours north... and if you are taking the train you can almost double that.  Realistically, you should focus your sightseeing on two ot three cities at the most.  There is so much to see, and it would be a shame to go all thay way and not visit Gibralter while you are there.

  2. Yes it is possible but that is cutting it a bit close. However, the person who said that taking the train would double your travel time between Corboba or Seville is way way off. The AVE high speed train takes 2 Hours from Madrid to Cordoba and 2 and a half hours for Madrid to Seville it goes around 180 MPH.

I made a very similar trip, Flying into Madrid arriving around noon and spending one night there, then taking AVE to Seville, checked into our hotel saw a bullfight walked around at bit  spent the night, rented a car took  a side trip to Ronda, spent another night in Seville then drove to Granada, saw the Alhambra and Generalife, Spent one night  drove to Nerja on the Costa Del Sol, (about a one hour drive) spent the night, drove to Cordoba making a few stops, saw the Mequita that day  the  spent the night, walked around shopped the next morning then we drove like a bat out of h**l to Toledo just in time to see a few sights had a fabulous dinner spent the night and then back to Madrid. that was seven nights.

We really didn't see a whole lot of Seville or Madrid on that schedule.  If you cut out Malaga from your intinerary and used the AVE from Madrid to Cordoba or Seville, you could cover all those other places pretty well.  You would miss Ronda and Toledo, which are both fantastic, but you would have more time in Madrid and Seville.

Sorry if this got a little wordy, feel free to email me if you want more info.
