I am fifteen and about six months ago i stared noticing that my adult tooth was growing over my "baby" tooth. It should have fallen out when I was little but it never did so the adult tooth started growing over it. About a month and a half ago I got the baby tooth extracted and now just the adult tooth it there and it is growing better but it is still unaligned and it is much higher up on my gum then the rest.. how can i fix that will it eventually come into its normal spot, should i talk to an oral surgeon where should i go from here?

  1. The best thing for you to do is get a consult at an orthodontist's office. If you have a regular dentist they can refer you to an orthodontist. They will most likely say you need to get braces put on for a while. There are a lot of advances in technology for these types of cases. Complicated and they'll explain it to you. Be sure to ask plenty of questions when you go. Good luck!

  2. dont go to a dentist or orthodontimerist or whatever they said to do, thatl cost you a LOT of money.  if ou just pull it with some plyers it should go back into place .  get some orajel to numb it first though it might hurt a little.  and have some guaze if it bleeds .

  3. agreed. It sounds like it could easily be solved with braces, but definitely talk to an orthodontist.
