my dad stopped paying for my college, but in the divorce agreement from ten years ago, it said that he was ordered to maintain a uniform gift to minor's act account for me that will pay for my tuition, transportation, and room and board. i'm 19 years old and live in maryland. he says he emptied the account in 2000 to pay for expenses for my sisters and now i don't even haev an account anymore. can i sue him? what should i do? i have no money for college!

  1. Yes you can sue him - get an attorney that deals with these type of cases (consultations are free).  It may take awhile before you actually go to court but the end result may consist of a garnishment of his wages.
