Question about uploading photos with kodak easyshare....?

Everytime i plug my camera in to upload new photos to my pc, the easyshare software takes a really long time to show all my previous photos (which are stored on my camera and have already been uploaded on to pc) and then i have to selct which ones to upload and then wait for this to transfer. As far as i can see, the only way to avoid this is to delete all the photos from my camera after uploading them? i hope this is not the case as it is sometimes nice to keep them on there for quick viewing. Dont attempt to answer this question unless u actually use the software and know what i am talking about. i have a m853

I have the same camera and when I want to down load new photos it shows all photos on my camera but with the latest allready ticked for selection to down load
