  1. Absolutely.  Even if you are playing a nickel machine, they will come around and offer you drinks.  If you tip well, the cocktail waitress will come around more often.  And this is at every hotel I've gambled in.  Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, etc.  It's just a standard in Vegas, free drinks while you are gambling!

  2. no or at least not in the the casino/hotel i went to (the flamingo).

  3. The answer is yes yes and yes every casino I have ever been to in Vegas, including the Flamingo (which is most of them in over 30 trips) has given me free drinks whilst I am playing slots or VP depending on the time of day where you are and the denomination of the slot will decide how good the drinks service is and you need to tip the cocktail waitress at least $1 per drink or she will not only get annoyed but not come back, it’s a good idea to tip $5 on the first drink this will ensure she does not miss you next time;-) The drinks are only free whilst sitting at a machine and served to you by a cocktail waitress or by the barman if you are playing VP at the bar, the one exception is Wynn where you still get (very good) cocktail service whilst playing on the slots but will not be given free drinks anymore if playing VP at the bar.

  4. Yes but not as often as people playing the tables unless you tip the waitresses plenty but then you may as well go a buy your own drinks. this was my experience at the MGM Grand

  5. Yes but you will have to tip! If you don't tip then she will not return.

I visited Vegas last year and stayed at the Bellagio. I never gambled on the tables on the slot machines and was asked if i would like a drink nearly every five minutes.

    Enjoy your trip!

  6. I have lived in Las Vegas for over a decade and can tell you from experience that although you can allegedly play for money and dirnk for free - you would have much better luck buying your drinks to ensure they're full-size and made correctly.

The free drinks given away tend to have very long delays between refreshments (because the cocktail waitresses are usually underpaid, under-tipped, overexposed, exploited and overworked) and the bartenders don't seem to put all the alcohol they can - in them because you're drinking free. I strongly recommend you communicate your specific needs to the bartender making your drink; let them know you prefer to buy your drink because you want a full tank of 'gasoline' to lube your throat with.

By the time the cocktail waitress comes around to ask what you would like to drink - you've already paid for the drink man times over and you may sometimes notice that it's been a long time since she came around and you may be long gone - while your cocktail waitress returns holding your drink looking all around for your broke, absent self.

Buy your own; you'll be happier. With the vital answer out of the way - my very helpful tip to you is to buy your alcohol at a nearby liquor store where you will pay significantly less, receive a better value and still be able to get your buzz on. Heck, if you really want a lasting Vegas experience - when you're at the liquor store buying alcohol - buy a hand-held video poker game or digital slot LCD game for a fraction of the cost, increased jackpots and you'll keep the rest of the money in your pocket without risking the danger of a programmed casino slot machine taking your life savings. At least now you can buy something and have it to show on your way back home.

Las Vegas wasn't built on winners!

  7. You betcha--- you will have one of the pretty little girls walking around saying "Cocktails" and then ask her for whatever you want- don't forget to tip her !! Then she will keep coming back!! and I hear it is good luck!!!

  8. yes as long as you play for about 1/ 2 hour. I liked planet hollywood the best. I won over 200 bucks on the Soprano slot machine. Just remember always bet max. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

  9. HI,

When i visited Las Vegas last time, only in the HILTON did they give free drinks while playing on slot machines and that was the only one i seen.sometimes i did get free drinks while playing the games on the actual bar(video poker) at IMPERIAL PALACE.

  10. Yes, of course you get free drinks while you play, be it at a table or a machine. Just tip the lady a dollar each time, and she'll come back. Best to get beer, though. They can't water that down. Have fun :)

  11. i dont think so

  12. Yes I do.  Just remember to tip the cocktail, which encourages her to return more often.
