Hi all,

How should I request it ? also what other freebies might they give away ?

  1. Dealers have no control over when the cocktail waitresses come by.  I worked as a dealer for 3 years and constantly got asked if i could call a cocktail waitress over.  Best i could ever do is yell across the casino to get them over cause we cant leave our tables.

You can also ask the pit boss if they can call the bar and get the cocktail waitress to come over.  SOMETIMES they will call for the small players, but if you are betting like 25 per hand, they will get a cocktail waitress over to you pretty quick.

  2. If you are sitting at a table game or slot machine cocktail waitresses will generally come around offering drinks.  Ask for what you want, and tip her a dollar when she brings it.

So although the drink is free, it's only a good deal when you are drinking alcohol, because let's face it $1 for a soft drink is hardly worth it.

The most important thing to remember in any casino is to get a players card.  All the major casinos have them.  You sign up, get this card, and if you are playing a slot machine, you put it in the machine.  If you are playing a table game, you give it to the dealer.

The more you play, the more points you get.  And points equals free stuff.

  3. If you are at Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, or at an Atlantic City casino and merely sitting at a chair  at a slot machine (not even playing it) a waitress will come around and say, " Coffee, Tea, or juice". That is a beverage waitress and it means would you like something to drink. Drinks themselves may be free but tips are expected. Fifty cents to a dollar tip per drink is what I normally tip. It may not sound like alot but when you add up all those dollars and quarters from those drinks handed out...I'm sure it's alot.

  4. The wait staff will come around to you.  Don't ask the dealer.  Be sure to tip the waitress, too.

  5. When I am sitting at a table, I just tell the dealer cocktails.  Within a fem minutes a waitress will come by and ask if anyone wants a drink, then you can order you soft drink.

Like the other answer, I usually tip .50 to 1.00 for a soft drink so they are not really free.  I don't know what the cost of a soft drink is at the bar.
