Question about vonage phone service and internet??

i want some info about vonage phone service. right now i have AT&T phone and internet service. If i switch to vonage, do they have internet service that i can get, because i need both the internet and the phone service. if u can provide me with some other info about this, plz do so, thnx. i will appriciate any help.

  1. Depending on which state you reside AT&T may beable to provide a dry loop, DSL only line.  Your state Public Utilities Commission has rule regs that may allow or not allow the DSL only.

    At that point you probable will not save any $$ for splitting your service.

    You may consider cable broadband for an ISP but again the cost may not be worth the change.

    I live in Washington state where we can have DSL only from the conventional telco's.  But the cost is on the upside of $40.00 for the line alone.  So there you have $40. plus your Vonage plan.

    Look into magic jack and

  2. You require to have internet access (high speed) for a voip service which vonage is.  They do not provide the internet access.  AT&T should be able to provide you DSL for a fee and then you can get a voip and be off and running.

  3. no you still have to have a different internet provider. vonage is only telephone.
