Question about walking distance?

if it took 3 minutes to drive 0.87 miles ... how long do you think it would take me to walk that if i walked normal speed. thanks

Probably about 15 minutes.

When you walk somewhere where you have to stop for crossing traffic and such, it takes approximatey 20 minutes to walk a mile. Since it's about a mile, I'd give yourself 20 minutes.

Just figure 15 minutes, which is nothing.  Also though, consider this, it takes you 3 minutes to drive, but how long does it take you to park (i.e. find a space,pay for parking,walk from your car to the entrance of work)?  When you walk to work, its 15 minutes door to door. Unless you can park right in front of your work and not pay to park there is more to consider than just ''drive time''.

One other thing, what happens that morning when its 5 minutes until you have to be there, and the car won't start?

a leisurely stroll is about two or three miles per hour so 20-30 minutes per mile so .87 mile would be in 17-26 minutes.  A light jog will get you there in about 9 minutes.

its gunna take aproxiamately 14 minutes. since when u jog it takes around 7 minutes. but ur walking so it will take around 14 minutes.

say you walk 3 miles per hour  .87/3=.29 hours * 60 min/hour = 17.4 minutes  If you walk faster then replace 3 with the speed you think you walk and you will get there sooner.

probably less then 15 minutes.. I walked 2.2 miles the other day in a little over a haf hour.. but i was walkig fast not normal speed
