  1. No.. water resistant (or "splash proof" as its called often) means if any water splashes onto them they will continue to work, completely submerged though, they break..

(I know from first hand experience lol)

WaterPROOF is resistant to water even when submerged (to whatever depth it's certified)

  2. yea. same what "xXTinaXx" said....i think this question is resolved. lol

  3. I'm afraid xXTinaXx and lui_sy2007 have got waterproof and water resistant mixed up. If a watch is waterproof, it just means that, if you pour water over it, it won't get in. If it's water resistant, it means that it is resistant to entry, even when submerged. There are differing degrees of water resistance, designated as 50m, 100m, 200m and 300m. These figures don't mean that the watch is water resistant at that depth: if it says 50m, the watch can be worn in the shower; 100m means it can be worn just under the water surface; 200m and 300m mean the watch can be used when scuba diving.

I use one which is designated as water resistant to 300m.
