  1. It depends, some bands have a list/song book they go off of and aren't willing to learn anything new. Others are willing to learn a couple of songs for the even they're playing. This is something you need to discuss with them.

  2. It honestly depends on the band that you are booking. That is something that you will need to discuss with them. There may be certain songs that they don't know or don't play - so if you have specific songs in mind that you want for your reception be sure to ask a lot of questions before booking them.

  3. wedding bands have their own list of song to play already. You can request songs but hand them in advance so they can prepare for it. Expect more commercialized/POP/oldies songs from the band though.

  4. depends on the band and the music they doa nd what you want.  If its song's they know and can play then you can give them a list or work with a list of their songs.

  5. It is your wedding and you can pretty much do whatever you want. As long as the band knows the songs you want them to play they will pretty much play whatever you tell them to. If you want to pick you own music and the band says they only play their own choices then you should choose a different band!

  6. i thnk that they come up with the songs, but you can give them a list of certain songs you want them to play...just do it early enough so that if they don't know it (or dont know it well) they have time to practice

  7. I think it depends on the band. If there are songs that you are interested in them playing, check and see if it's a song that is in their repetoire. Some bands have a vast library of songs that they know how to play, others only allow you to select songs that they know, and even others will "learn" new music.

I suggest speaking with the band directly and going over a music selection that will work for your wedding!

    Best of luck to you!

  8. No, you should give them a list of songs you want.  Especially for your first dance and the mother son and father daughter dances.  I would tell them what you want even if they don't ask.  Write down a list.

  9. It honestly depends on the band. If you have specific songs that you want played make sure they'll play them before hand.
