  1. Your daughters are adult women who don't want to look stupid in the photos.

The dresses should be the same color or same style and go together.

(For example, both lilac long - one fancier than the other or one lilac long and one in other wedding color long also. If one daughter was 22 and the other was 6 then I would say it was ok to buy one a long gown and the other a short but not when they are adults! It will look like the younger daughter was an afterthought and she got the crappy cheap dress!)

Buy from the same manufacturer and same dress shop.

  2. you can always have her  dresses made.  It would save you a few dollars & the younger one won't mind if it's hand made.

  3. Whatever floats your boat

  4. Well, unless you are the bride, I would suggest you ask the bride.  This is her wedding and her ideas are what count.

  5. If the wedding has a more formal tone , don't go shorter , try perhaps a darker or lighter shade of lilac/purple.  Or purchase the same dress , but also purchase a sash or something special that makes your oldest daughter stand out as the maid of honour.  However , if you younger daughter wanted a shorter dress , ankle length or mid calf is appropriate, but not too short as she would look under dressed compared to your other daughter. Another option is to stick with the same colour and length but a different , more plain style.

  6. That's fine, but only go to tea length, not knee length.

  7. It makes sense it will show the significance of one being the Made of Honor and the other being the Bridesmaid and shorter dresses will give that youthful look to your bridesmaids that people envision so it seems like a perfect idea to me.

  8. i think perhaps you should dress them the same your younger daughter may feel like your oldar one is taking priority?????

  9. sounds good to me, it is nice to have the MOH stand out
