My goal is to lose my mini belly and love handles by Oct 1. I have been watching my diet . . .getting better at it. And i have been doing 30-40 min on my elliptical a day, the digital reader says I burned about 400 cals and do 10.5-11.5 km each session . . .will i be able to lose it by then? I want my body back and I want to be able to wear cute clothes. Advice please. I am determined to do it. Although if I feel tired and have had a hard day at work, I take the night off of exercise.

Current weight 138lbs height 5'4" and age 28.

  1. I have a better idea.  Why don't you just buy a pair of pants that have a waist at the right height?  Hip-huggers have only been around for about ten years, and they make every single woman think that she's fat.  If you wear a pair of jeans that have a waist at the right height, you don't get those bulges, and if you wear a  long tank, no one notices anyway.

Women are supposed to have twenty percent body fat.  Body fat gives off estrogens that keep your cycles regulated and keep hairs from growing on your chin.  Have you ever noticed that overweight men seem to be less aggressive?

Exercise is great; it's good for you, good for your heart, good for your emotions.  It is NOT good for you to over-exercise.  If you keep your body in a starved condition where you exercise so much that your NORMAL fat reserves disappear, you increase the wear and tear.  You must feed your body enough to fuel the exercise.

According to the internet, you only have about five or ten pounds to lose.  I bet you could lose that just by cutting salt out of your diet.

The bottom line is: cute clothes are subjective.  I think that skinny women with love handles are disgusting - who came up with the idea of taking the one part of a woman's body that is supposed to have the most fat, and constricting it so that it looks like every underweight woman is a tub of lard?  It could only have been some kind of misogynist, and that's not the person whom I want dictating my fashion.
