My guy just left for basic/infantry training, he'll get an address sometime next week. He told me not to send him any pictures cause he doesn't want to have to do extra push up's or get in trouble. But I read how others send pictures to their guys, should I send my guy a picture anways? Or when I start writing him, should I ask him?

  1. right i went through Basic a little over 2 yrs ago now down there at good ole ft benning on sand hill and let me tell you he might have told you dont send pics because of the push ups cause yeah he might have to do a few extra but i know me and the guys i went through with would have killed just to get more pics then we already have cause it keeps you goin and as far as how many extra push ups depends on the Drill Sgt usually i mean some make you do extra for colored envelopes or scented letters but its all in good fun usually and definatly worth the work    oh and as far as how much your showin keep this in mind full nude def frowned upon but no matter what most likly he wont be the only one to see that pic itll most likly be him and 50+ other dudes as well

  2. My Boyfriend just graduated Basic/Infantry training from Fort Benning, GA. Last weekend. I sent him TONS of pictures and he loved them. First off when they receive any piece of mail they have to do so many push ups per mail. and when they receive pictures they have to do additional push ups. This isn't really a punishment its just something that they do. A lot of the men look forward to mail call. The only way that he can get into any real trouble is if you send him nudes. just make sure there not nudes and try not to send any of you in a bikini or anything like that. And for us being the girlfriends its something that we Want to do. Go for it and send some pictures. He'll learn that there comforting.

oh and another piece of advice...make sure you always have your phone close by on sundays. They usually always call on sundays

  3. my gf hid the pics in between the letter itself but dont send anymore than like 2 or 3 at a time. I went to Fort Knox, thats one of the toughest places and i got away with it so it should be fine but ask first anyway because u dont wanna p**s someone off while in BCT, it could end something

  4. The big thing is not to send him inappropriate pictures, they can get pictures, but make sure your showing nothing in them, no cleavage, or even a little tummy, if they have a hard *** instructor thats what will get them in big trouble, but sending him pictures overall is okay.

  5. Don't write in ble ink. Don't send pics, especially S****y ones.

    He will be smoked.

  6. You could just wait until you speak to him, if thats what he wants you to do..However my boyfriend and several other friends I have are all in the Army and Ive never heard of them getting in trouble for receiving pictures.  That is in sane!!  These guys need things like that to get through and to deny them of any type of home life and family is just crazy.. I dont think your b/f has gotten correct info..All the military carry pictures and recieve pictures.  So good luck I know it is difficult to be away from him..U can email me anytime if you need support.:o)

  7. Don't send him a lot of stuff, no matter what others have done.

He will remember you until he is finished with Basic and AIT.  His space is severely limited and inspections can be brutal.

He'd probably rather get a short letter two or three times a week than any long ones, as he won't have much time for reading and answering them.. Remember to keep your letters upbeat and positive - he really does have enough other stuff to worry about.

Don't get upset if you don't hear from him often - it just isn't possible until he has finished this basic training.

Cheer him on and support him.  Good luck to both of you.

  8. Nah! dont bother, just tell him to get himself a nice private to keep his sack warm at night

  9. You can send him pictures, they are perfectly acceptable. And at most they might make him do some extra PT.  But he wont care at that point b/c in basic you do so much that knockin out 20 push ups is nothing, esp when u get something good out of it.  A lot depends on his unit, and what his DS policy is.  But im sure it would be better to get pictures of you, then not.  I enjoyed getting pictures when i was in basic...
