I'm getting married by the justice of the piece on friday before I ship out,and it's pretty much going to be pretty much dress casual. afterward all of us are going to a nice club/restaurant on the water. My fiancee is wearing a nice dress, and I'm wearing a dress shirt, dress khakis and some loafers/boat shoes. My question is do I have to tuck in my shirt? It's not a dress shirt you would wear a tie with. I sort of look like an ivy leaguer. lol what do you think?

  1. Well if there is no tie or jacket, I think leave it untucked and do the cool, casual, but put-together look. Make sure the shirt is pressed, and the rest of you is clean & neat, and you will look cool. Good luck.

PS: No old shoes though.. only if they are in really good condition! Bad shoes ruin the whole outfit. Girls notice these things.

  2. YES. It is your wedding day.

  3. Yes. It would look a little nicer. congrats!! and good luck!!

  4. Lord yes, the JP may throw you out otherwise.Be the man you are.

  5. If you don't want to, DON'T! For our wedding the guys will all be wearing dress shirts, but more casual ones (like abercrombie or american eagle) and they aren't tucking them in. I think those kinds of shirts look way better not tucked in. but that's just my opinion. most people would think that's a no no, but people do it all the time for beach weddings and it looks great.

  6. This depends on the cut of the shirt, some are not meant to be tucked.  Usually if it's straight cut around (no shirt tail) it's meant to be worn out.  Any shirt with a shirt tail should be tucked in.

  7. Tuck it in. It would look so unclassy, unglamorous, and just HORRIBLE, if you did not.

Do it. TUCK IT IN! :)

Hope you will be happy with your wife. Keep your vow. ;)

  8. o just tuck in the stupid shirt its not going to kill you

  9. Tuck in your shirt.  You should look nice as a sign to your fiance that you take the commitment seriously.  This is even more important since you are getting married at the courthouse (especially if she is foregoing the traditional marriage so the two of you can wed before you ship out).  She will not have memories of friends and family around her; she will have memories of how handsome (and nervous) you looked in front of the justice.
