If one person has a stop sign and the other person is in a turn lane which would cause them to turn in front of the person at the stop sign, who goes first? Does it depend on who gets there first?

  1. You must yield to the driver making the turn. Unless they have a stop sign also in which case it's who makes a complete stop first.

  2. If both are there at the same time the person at the stop sign would go first..........

  3. if the other person doesn't have a stop sign then they have the right of way

  4. If the person that is turning does not have a stop sign then they can go first.

    When in doubt, just wait.

If the other person has to stop too then the person that was there first goes first. But never assume that the other driver will give you the right of way. You have to be on the lookout to avoid an accident.

  5. Whoever doesn't have a stop sign keeps going.  The person at the stop sign has to yield to traffic that doesn't have to stop.
