One of my 2 computer is a HP with a Dual Core 2.50 GHz AMD Athlon Processor, and my other is a Water cooled NEC with Intel Pentium 3.2 GHz dual core CPU. But for some reason Windows Experience Index gives the AMD CPU a higher score. Why does this happen??

PS: i updated all the scores. ^^^

  1. Forget the Ghz

A modern AMD will beat any pentium hands down.  Ghz is meaningless here because the modern AMDs and Intels have improved core architecture in which they are able to execute much faster and perform more operations at the same speed

  2. The experience index will show the score of the lowest scoring component, usually the graphics adapter.  Here is an article about SP1 and the experience index.
