Question about windows on mac?

hi i have always wanted to have windows on my Macintosh os x leopard .but it seemed to expensive and my uncle thinks i can use an old windows install disk on my computer but im not sure that would work.

would it? because i need windows for my computer class and don't want to spend big bucks and if that doesn't work than what other options do i have?

    That's a good question.

    As long as you have an authorized version of Windows, and you are adhering to its license agreement, then YES, you can use it on your Mac. (We don't support pirated software, do we?)

    You did not say what version of you have so I recommend that you contact Apple (about BootCamp), VMWare (about Fusion) , and Parallels (about Desktop) directly to confirm that your version of Windows will work with their software.

    PS - IMPORTANT - Once you have Windows on your Mac you'll need a good virus protection application. I recommend AVG. Besides being very good, its FREE!


  2. You might be able to use Darwine http://darwine.sourceforge.net/download.... you can run windows apps on a mac

  3. If it's a full retail version of Windows XP, sure why not. Go ahead and install it.
