okay my brother told me his xbox 360 keeps getting red rings of death

what does that mean?

the red ring of death is when all four rings around the power button on the 360 are red.  this usually means that there is some sort of hardware failure with the 360.  I would call 1800 4-MY-XBOX and tell them what happened.  Same thing happened to my friend and they fixed his 360 although it took about a month for the whole thing.  good luck

make sure your a/v cable is plugged in all the way

if the problem persists its a hardware failure and u need to send it in

Depends on how many rings light up. If it is all four of them only means there is a bad connection. If it is three means a major system error! Not to sure about one or two. But if it is three and you want a quick solution, Rap   your 360 up in a towel turn it on and let it sit for bout 15 or 20 mins. It will over heat and reset everything, should be working fine! O and let it cool down before you start it back up.

it is a hardware failure. you need to call xbox and they will send you a box to ship it in to get it fixed.

usually it means it overheated

you can use the nyko intercooler,turn it off for around 15minutes,or put a fan in front of it

It either means there is an internal problem. In this case u call the number 1-800-4myxbox and they will send u a new 360 free of charge :D. Or ur cables in the back could be inproporally connected.
