I have two different ATM cards with two different banks. USAA and Amegy. I don't usually use the USAA one and am always forgetting the pin number. I recently changed the pin number on the USAA card to the same number on the Amegy card. I am wanting to make sure when I use the USAA card that they money does come out of this account and not my amegy account.

Just so you know, I can't close the USAA card as I have too many reasons to keep it open. long story.

Thanks for your help.

  1. Easy just leave one of them at home at all times. Just switch them if one of them runs low.

  2. You will be just fine.  It is the card that determines which accout it will come out of.  The pin number is to verify that it is you.

  3. The money will come out of the appropriate account, regardless of the PIN number.  If you use the USAA card, money will be withdrawn from the USAA account, and if you use the Amegy card, money will be withdrawn from the Amegy account.

  4. If it is 2 different banks no you cannot use this card to withdrawal money out of the other bank .

  5. There is no way that could happen.

To ease your fears, use each card and withdraw $10.00 to what happens.

  6. This will not cause a problem, since they are two different cards from two different accounts.
