Question:

Question as an eBay seller?

I am selling an xbox 360 with 8 games on ebay and the starting price is 99 cents. It has exactly two days left but it only has 4 watchers and no bids (still at 99 cents). I am new to ebay so I dont know how this stuff works, so what are the chances my item will sell for a good price?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

  1. I think this is the main reason eBay is becoming less of an auction site and more of one where people are selling items at set prices. Several months ago, I tried selling a guitar this way. I got a bunch of ridiculously low bids. None of them met the minimum reserve set for this guitar so when the bidding period was over, I pulled it. I was already taking a loss when trying to sell this guitar but it really bugged me when it was clear that there were people who were hoping to get it for much less than it was worth.

  2. If no one is bidding chances are they are waiting til the auction is nearly over because if the price still stands at 99cents thats how much they can buy it for. If i were you i wouldnt auction it off. Buy it now and just put it at the price you feel is reasonable.

  3. Well most experienced ebay buyers will watch it and bid at the last minute. So it's likely to stay at 99 cents until the last 24 hours, usually less and at the last minute. But with only 4 watchers I don't think it will go for what it should go for. You might want to take it off and relist it with a more realistic reserve bid.
