Question concerning jobs and clothing attire?

I kind of have a possible dilemma here. I was recently fired / forced to quit from my job (about two weeks ago now) and have been sending in applications and such. However, a few places (such as a local cd store) require black shoes although they can be sneakers. In this example, I don't have black shoes, and with having almost no money at the time being, is there a way I could still work somewhere for the first week or two and not have the proper attire if I later bought what I needed?

  1. After you get hired - not before- ask them if it would be okay until the first payday.  Explain your situation. Most people have a heart and will work with you.  But,  If they say no, tell them no problem, you will figure out a way to make it happen.  A thrift store should have a pair for $2 - $5 or borrow some shoes or get some black paint.  Good luck to you.

  2. Take yourself to a thrift store sucka!

  3. Well they may be ok with it, they may not.  You can always buy a pair at a thrift store or borrow a pair from a friend.  Make sure you buy a pair.  Any person should have a pair of conservative black shoes.
