Do Americans use the name Sue over there, or is it used only as a verb?

  1. Well it is a common name still.  Johnny Cash performed a song about it (based on a poem by Shel Silverstein), but I am convinced, that the overwhelming majority of attorneys who practice in this country would gladly accept the name "Sue" as part of their epitaph!


  2. I don't know. Do Brits use the name Jack or is it just something that guys to do each other.

  3. Sometimes both. We don't have any powdered wig barristers here, so it's harder to tell lawyers apart from the honest folk.
