Avocados have fallen off. Do Avocados naturally fall off the tree when they are Ripe like a lot of other fruit or do you have to pick them and they ripen up later?????

How can I tell when to pick them from the tree?

If they never fell off the tree in nature they wouldn't be able to spread their seeds and grow new trees. It's natural for fruit to fall off the trees.
