  1. It's not the clothes, it's the swagger.  The way you carry yourself and present yourself.  If it is your style then that comes through.  When you say baggy you are basically talking about urban wear.  Anyone can wear it but some people look fake in it.  Both blacks and whites share in the fake look.  Trust, all blacks ain't urban.

  2. dude get yo facts straight!!!

  3. People wear whatever they want. I like to see someone who cares about their appearance somewhat, and who tries to adopt a style that is individual to them.

I don't look at a person or race and think: "hey, you shouldn't wear that, only 'x' race can wear that!"

I think people. black or otherwise, have more pressing things to think about than that.

  4. baggy clothes didn't originate from black people. Baggy clothes especially pants originated from prisons where they were denied belts to hold there pants up

  5. I think it looks tacky on anyone of any race.

  6. I think you better check your history, and sucking up is never cool.

  7. You probably won't get a very specific response here, because there are a lot of self-righteous people who are not black, that think they are doing them a favor by acting super-sensitive about cultural questions on their behalf.

  8. I don't find anything wrong with it, it's just a bit out of the norm if you haven't been exposed to differences. I travel to alot of different places and have witness white ppl that wear urban clothing and black ppl that wear Abercombie and American Eagle. It mostly depends on the background and lifestyle you have been brought up in.

  9. Watch it, someone's gonna pull out the race card.

  10. why do you find it weird..?

And did these clothes really originate with black people.. or are you just assuming this becuase you're always right?

    I don't think it's weird.

Style should reflect who you are personally..

and I strongly beleive that a white person can relate to the stereotypical black depending on how they were raised and how they choose to live their life. It's true that most races vary in behavior because people are most strongly influenced by family and friends which are generally of the same race, but still. lol.

  11. I don't think it's weird. I think they look just as sloppy and low-class as anybody else who dresses like that.

  12. Actually, it originated from prisoners.  Prisoners of whatever race, because apparently you can't get clothing that fits right there or something.  Anyway, rappers picked it up because the ones that are about being thugs were trying to emulate prison wear.  Of course if the rappers do it, then kids want to pick it up and that's how it went mainstream.  What they don't tell you is that the guy in prison with his pants falling down is someone's biyatch.

Most black people think it's stupid, too.

  13. NO, It does not bother me as a black.  I don't depick and automatically assume that only blacks should dress like that.  I have no issues with the baggy style on any race because i wear the baggy style but you would never know that I was a Nurse working for a major metropolitian hospital, so people that assume baggy clothes are not good to wear need to remember that clothes dont make the person, its worn for comfort.

  14. I don't get it no matter what race the person is.  I especially don't get it when a guy wears his pants slung way low on the bottom of his butt cheeks...how do they get held up there?  Do they have to hang them on their p***s or something?
