before I test parking,emergency and service brake,should I choke the wheels?

if they are choked,how to know they work or not?

  1. The instructer put them on mine as soon as I got out of the truck.  I live in KY, so you're state may not do that so you may want to bring a set with you. :)


  2. You should be allowed to shut the engine off, and put it in low gear instead of chocking. This will hold the truck in position while you conduct your brake check.

    If not, just chock the back of the wheel (provided you are facing uphill), and when you pull a little foreward, go remove the chock.
