For my atheist colleagues: No need to answer. I get it. You don't believe in Gods...I have read many times over and am not questioning your right to believe whatever.

  1. He's helped me live my life with a better meaning. and I thank him :)

  2. The year was 1978.  I'd been dating the most beautiful, most wonderful woman in the entire universe for over 2 years when my roommate approached me and expressed interest in her.  He was an associate pastor at our small church.  I loved him like a brother and I had all the respect in the world for him. He was very respectful to me as well and very willing to step aside if I wanted her for myself.  Without an ounce of animosity or hesitation, I told him he was free to ask her out any time he wanted to. I would not stand in his way, if that was what they both wanted. After a few weeks, they got serious and started dating.  Instead of getting angry, I asked God for his blessing upon them and their relationship. I also asked him to bring her back to me if that was his will. Yes, I knew I was grasping at straws, but I was hoping beyond hope that they wouldn't make it to the altar.  Two years later they were married. It was one of the happiest days of my life because I knew the woman I loved had finally found happiness. A few months after their marriage, I asked him to baptize me. I'd been a christian for almost 10 years, but after talking to some of my friends about it, I realized I'd never been baptized.

I'm still friends with that woman today, but her husband turned out to be more of a sinner than a saint.  They were divorced about 6 years ago.  If I weren't married now, I would take her back in a heartbeat.  Her and all 7 of her children.

  3. I pray (talk) with Him and ask Him to guide me concerning my college major and if I wait and listen He answers!

  4. yes i feel guided by the almighty lord each day, he gave me the gift of life and I am eternally grateful to him and the holy spirit, i was once visited by jesus on a frosty january morn and he told me me that i should live my life and speak my words with passion and love and from that day forth that is what i did, i pray to him everyday and even when my prayers don't get answered my love only gets stronger and i sing and dance so that he can witness my love, i love him so much i want to kiss him and hold him by my bosom. i want to feed him with the finest nectar available and repay him for all his good deeds

  5. yes he guides me in everything i do

he is with me every day pointing me in the right direction

    the reason

because i have given my life to him

it is all in Gods hands to do with it as he see's right

  6. Couple of times now, when I was confused in regards to the old testament laws relevance to Christians I asked God for guidance and the word John came into my head. To this I replied what chapter I got the numbers 12 and 15. John 15:12 is 'My command is this: love one another as ihave loved you' such a feeling of peace and elation and closeness to God I had never felt. Took me a while to realize what He meant but I believe I do now, the other time was this morning. I asked Him for a dream or vision, a message of some kind and he gave me a dream about a Halloween party, that I shouldn't go, as it was pagan, yet i had in the dream and I was walking out with some girl in my arms. May well be a warning to keep away because this one sin will lead to another but only time will tell...

  7. Many times. I can't name a specific instance, but I just get this thought in my mind (even during the most normal/typical moments) that would be something along the lines of: that was supposed to happen, there was a reason for that happening, God is watching over me, God is guiding my life right now.

  8. Yes.  Often.  Usually it is like a 'tug' of instinct.  Hard to describe.  It is like, some decisions make me uneasy, others bring peace.  Even simple things.  As I learn to 'flow' with it, amazing things happen, because God is always preparing things ahead of me, and preparing me for them.

  9. Yes, I have. Through...

    people

    circumstances

    opportunities

    God's word

    sermons

    thoughts

    dreams

    something I see

    sunrises and sunsets

    children

    animals

    strangers

    books

    food (yes, really!)

    even Yahoo Answers :)

...and tons more, though I can't list them all.

  10. I listen to the still small voice with enough discernment to distinguish it from my own inner voice.
